ABC alcohol education spring tour to be held at TCC on March 22

Tidewater Community College is hosting “A Different Type of Buzz,” an alcohol education awareness event on March 22, 2014, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (check-in begins at 8 a.m.) at the Roper Performing Arts Center.

TCC is one of five Virginia institutions of higher learning awarded a grant for alcohol education awareness by the Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC). The grants, totaling about $5,000, are supporting campus-based educational efforts of student organizations at TCC, the College of William & Mary, Randolph-Macon College, Roanoke College and Virginia Commonwealth University.

The ABC college tour event at TCC is free for students, faculty, staff and community advocates. The event will include informative workshop with separate tracks for student leaders and college staffers. In addition, attendees will have the opportunity for professional development, resource sharing and leadership development.
