Going green

Students at the Virginia Beach Campus joined a billion people around the globe in celebration of the 42nd Earth Day on April 24. Pledging to be good stewards of the environment, students marked their “green” resolutions on a large poster with comments ranging from “use less water” to “take shorter showers” to “plant more trees.”

Staffers and students also learned about recycling, reusing and repurposing items. The event also included quick tips for planting a home garden.
