TCC’s Visual Arts Center hosts open house on Feb. 22

Interested students can tour the 33,330-square-foot art school, which houses 14 studios, classrooms, a critique room and a book and images library. The VAC is also home to an art gallery that is among the premier exhibition spaces in the region.

“We are thrilled to show off our state-of-the art facility, cutting-edge technology and exhibition spaces,” said VAC Director Chris Rupsch. “This is a great opportunity for visitors to speak with our student volunteers and faculty, and to hear directly about the quality of instruction, transfer options and employment opportunities.”

Activities will be held throughout the day, including demonstrations in the rooftop glassblowing studio and in the multimedia labs and in the photography, computer graphics, drawing, painting and ceramics studios.

Admission and financial aid representatives will be available to answer questions. A raffle will take place, and light refreshments will be served.
