TCC’s International Student Services Office is here to assist you with immigration guidance and support. Who is considered an international student? International students are students who are not U.S. citizens and wish to student in the U.S. on an F-1 Student Visa.
International Students Services
Step 1: Apply for admission to TCC. TCC’S online admissions application for admission is free, and easy to complete. Need help applying to TCC? Fill out the inquiry form, and our onboarding team will help you get started.
Step 2: Download, complete, print, and sign the I-20 Application Form.
Step 3: Upload your supporting Visa status documentation using this form. Documents must be in PDF format to be accepted.
If you are currently studying at another educational institution in the U.S. in F-1 status and wish to take some classes at TCC while maintaining status at another school, please contact International Student Services after submitting TCC’S online admissions application.
ISS can process the following actions for F-1 students:
- Travel Signatures
- Update I-20
- Transfer Out
- Employment/Social Security Letter
- Reduced Course Load
- Add/Remove Dependent
- Temporary Absence/Early Withdrawal
- Program Extension
ISS can assist with immigration holds on your student account. Use this form to determine the required immigration documents based on your Visa status and to submit your immigration documents.
ESL Program – Taught by credentialed, experienced faculty, TCC’s ESL program offers non-native English speakers the oral, listening, reading, and writing skills necessary to succeed in the U.S. academically, professionally, and personally.
ESL Placement Testing – TCC requires most non-native English speakers to take the ACCUPLACER ESL placement test prior to enrolling in classes.
You may be exempt from taking the ESL Placement Test if you meet certain criteria.
