Faculty Hub

The Faculty Hub connects people, places, and ideas through various college resources and departments. These specific resources engage faculty with learning and inspire faculty through collaboration. The Faculty Hub leverages internal talent and collaborative spaces to enhance learning and cultivate innovations. Faculty are encouraged to be involved and share their talents and expertise with one another.

The Freedom to Explore, Innovate, and Collaborate

The Batten Studio at each campus provides a place for faculty to explore and engage in scholarly and educational resources while collaborating with colleagues. The Studios provide a space for faculty from across disciplines, opportunities to collaborate with one another and learn about instructional strategies, different pedagogies, diverse modes of teaching and learning, and new technologies.

Each studio includes a facilitator workstation, computers for small group learning, a collaborative table, instructional resources, printers, scanner, supplies and informal seating.  Faculty Fellows provide approximately 4 hours each week of on-campus assistance and collaboration at their respective campuses, in addition to the instructional designers being on campus monthly. The CFTE Calendar of Events located in the Canvas CFTE Resource Hub and Inside TCC, includes the current schedule of events, professional development opportunities and Batten Studio hours.

The Director of DEI works in collaboration with all aspects of TCC to create an environment where everyone is valued irrespective differing of ideas, abilities, perspectives, and experiences within our college community. In collaboration with the Center for Teaching Excellence, Dr. ClauDean Kizart, Director of DEI, coordinates as well as facilitates cultural awareness and professional training aligned with the TCC strategic plan to ensure that our college is the FIRST CHOICE for education, opportunity, partnership, and innovation.

In support of Innovate 2026, strategic direction 3: Innovation to Support Teaching and Learning, the CFTE has a goal to increase awareness of available resources and services through strategic communication and advertising. To achieve this goal, the CFTE provides faculty ongoing communication when promoting, hosting, and advertising professional development opportunities through the Calendar of Events, emails, and the Canvas CFTE Resource Hub.

The Office of Grants & Sponsored Programs (OGSP) assists faculty and staff to locate and secure resources that enhance student learning and success and provide needed infrastructure to meet the College’s mission and strategic plan. OGSP submits all proposals for public and private funding on behalf of the College and the TCC Educational Foundation. OGSP utilizes a team approach to grants development and management, capitalizing on the strengths and collective years of experience in higher education for all involved. Additional resources are available Inside TCC.
