Dual Enrollment

Explore the different ways to connect with TCC to learn about our academic programs, visit the campus, and complete your steps to enroll.

Step 1 – Discuss Your Interest

Discuss your interest in dual enrollment with your parent or legal guardian and your high school counselor as you begin planning your courses for your junior or senior year.

*Freshmen & Sophomore students may need additional approval.

Step 2 – Apply to TCC

Complete the free online application for admission.

  • Read all the application questions carefully and do your best to respond to everything accurately.
  • Skipping a response or giving an incomplete answer (i.e. not providing your social security number or failing to indicate that you plan to apply for financial aid) will create additional steps for you later.

Step 3 – Login to your account

  • Access your MyTCC account using the username and password provided to you upon submission of your TCC application.
  • This will activate your account to utilize Canvas & TCC student email.

Step 4 – Create a Dual Enrollment Account

  • Create your account by visiting tcc.dualenroll.com/login
  • Select class(es) and upload any documents
  • Provide parent/guardian information
  • High school designee notified for review and approval

Step 5 – Get ready for classes

  • Get your TCC student ID card – please wait at least 24 hours after registering for classes to get your student ID card. This can be done at any of the campus Student Centers. Bring your valid state-issued ID card along with your student ID number.
  • For private and homeschool students only – Purchase your textbooks and materials at the Barnes and Noble bookstore online or on the Virginia Beach campus.

Step 6 – Arrange to pay your tuition

  • Public high school students – consult with your high school for payment options.
  • Private and homeschool students –  contact your TCC representative or call 757-822-7398
